Terms and Conditions

1. General Terms

The provider offers training services as one-time purchases, including self-study online courses, instructor-led in-person training, and webinars for business and consumer customers. By completing the purchasing process in full, you accept these terms, agree to comply with them, and take responsibility for any costs mentioned in the terms.

2. Payment Methods

Invoicing: For business customers, we primarily apply a 14-day payment term and e-invoicing. The reference number stated on the invoice must be used when making the payment.

Payment Methods: Consumer customers can pay using the following methods:

  • Payment through Finnish online banks
  • Visa / Visa Electron
  • Mastercard
  • Siirto, Apple Pay, Mobile Pay

Invoicing: The invoicing option is not available for consumer customers.

Refunds: Refunds are always made to the original payment method used in the order, regardless of whether the customer is a business or consumer.

3. Discount Codes

The discount code must be entered in the designated field during the purchasing process. The code is only valid for the period communicated to the recipient. A discount code granted to you or your company may not be shared with third parties.

4. Online Training

Self-study online training courses do not have a right of cancellation under the Consumer Protection Act if the service has already been provided or the delivery of digital content has begun, i.e. the course has been assigned to its participant and the training has started.

By purchasing a self-study online course, you agree that this product category does not include the possibility of cancellation or refund in accordance with the above condition.
The online course can be assigned to the learner or subscriber immediately after the purchase process. The course can begin immediately. The necessary codes for the course can be delivered to the subscriber by email.

The subscriber and the participant of the self-study online training agree to these terms and conditions. By starting the course, the participant confirms that he/she will complete the training and the related assignments and exams independently and in accordance with the instructions provided.

5. Open classroom and remote trainings

Customer cancellation terms:

The customer may cancel or reschedule the training free of charge no later than 14 days before the training. If the customer does not cancel their participation and does not attend the training, the full training fee will be charged.

In case of an impediment, the training participant can be substituted by another person no later than one day before the training begins.

Cancellations of ordered products or requests to reschedule participation must be submitted in writing to our customer service at fi.koulutus@kiwa.com.

Training participation instructions will be sent by email no later than 4:00 PM on the business day preceding the training, to the email address provided for the participant at the time of order.

6. Course Cancellations by the Provider

The organization of classroom and remote trainings depends on the number of participants. If a training day is canceled, we will notify the participants or their contact person by email or another agreed method.

7. Driver Qualification Marking

Our training does not include driver qualification markings. By purchasing the training, the purchaser accepts this condition and agrees to pay for the training in full, even if the driver qualification marking is not available. However, the purchaser has the right to cancel the training according to the terms.

8. Delivery of Training Certificates and Cards

The provider delivers the ordered certificates and cards to the address provided by the participant or the address given at the start of the self-study online course. The provider is not responsible for incorrect address information, deliveries based on such information, or lost cards that are the responsibility of the postal service. If a card is lost, we can order and deliver a new card for a fee of 15 euros (including VAT 25.5%).

9. Intellectual Property Rights

The provider holds all copyrights and/or other intellectual property rights to all content on the site and course materials. Copying, recording, photographing, publishing, or otherwise storing training material without the provider’s prior permission is strictly prohibited and violates copyright law. All rights to content usage remain with the provider, and distributing or using the material without permission is not allowed under any circumstances.

10. Marketing Communications

The participant and/or purchaser agrees to receive marketing messages, which may include information about current offers, training sessions, services, and other products provided by the provider. The participant and/or purchaser acknowledges that they can withdraw their consent to receive marketing messages at any time. The option to opt out is always included in our marketing messages, and consent withdrawal can be done easily by following the instructions in the message or by contacting our customer service. Marketing communications may be sent via email, text message, or other communication channels provided in the contact details.

11. Occupational Safety Card Lookup

By placing an order, you agree that Kiwa Impact Oy may retrieve your possible Occupational Safety Card information from the Occupational Safety Centre’s interface into its own register. Kiwa Impact Oy will retrieve the following information from the Occupational Safety Centre’s register:

  • Occupational Safety Card number
  • Occupational Safety Card validity information

  • Webinar: Instructor-led training conducted remotely.

  • Discount Code: A public, company-specific, or personal code that grants a discount.
