Occupational Safety Card® Refresher Training
The Occupational Safety Card® refresher training, approved by the Occupational Safety Centre, is available from Kiwa in Finnish and English as a trainer-led distance learning course.
The training is intended for updating the Occupational Safety Card. Participants must hold a valid Occupational Safety Card® on the day they attend the refresher training.
You can check the validity of your card via the Occupational Safety Centre’s card search.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a personal electronic Occupational Safety Card valid for five years.
We organize Finnish-language face-to-face training courses in Vantaa, open to everyone, approximately once a month. The price of the refresher course in Vantaa includes lunch and afternoon coffee. If you wish to have lunch, please arrive by 11.00.

Participating in the Training:
- You will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone. The training is delivered via Microsoft Teams.
- You must have a working camera and microphone.
- Each participant must register separately and attend the training using their own device.
- Participation requires strong electronic identification using online banking credentials or a mobile certificate via Signicat. Participants will receive an identification link and instructions no later than the working day before the training. This ensures that each participant’s identity is reliably verified and that the requirements for delivering the training are met. - The course materials will be provided to participants electronically in advance.
- The links and instructions for joining the training will be sent to you by email before the training begins.
- If you have not received the email by the start of the training, please check your spam or junk mail folder.
Renew Your Occupational Safety Card Easily
The Occupational Safety Card Refresher Training is a 4.5-hour course for renewing a valid Occupational Safety Card. The learning objectives are the same as in the basic training, and the course concludes with a final exam.
PLEASE NOTE! The participant’s Occupational Safety Card issued by the Finnish Centre for Occupational Safety must still be valid on the day of the refresher training.
Some training sessions can also be completed as part of the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training. This option is indicated in the additional services available for each training session.

Instructions for Participants
- Your current Occupational Safety Card must still be valid.
- You must know your Occupational Safety Card number when attending the training.
- The training is conducted in Finnish.
- After successfully completing the training, you will be awarded the Occupational Safety Card qualification.
- The validity of your mobile card will be updated after you have passed the final exam.
After the Training
- You will receive an electronic mobile card, valid for 5 years.
- If you wish, you can also order the traditional green plastic card from the Finnish Centre for Occupational Safety for €20.
- Your card is conveniently available in Kiwa’s MyCertificate app. For persons registered in Kiwa’s CompetenceAdmin system, the app also brings together Finnish Red Cross first aid training certificates and other Kiwa training certificates in one place. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play.

- Remote training: Live online training where you can ask questions and interact with the trainer in real time.
Customised group training is also available for companies.
