SafetyUp – Occupational safety training
SafetyUp® is an engaging and insightful basic occupational safety training designed for all employees. At the heart of this training is the strengthening of safety culture through a shift in mindset. Interactive elements and interesting exercises encourage participants to reflect on various aspects of occupational safety and how each individual can contribute to improving safety in their own work. The course can also be provided as Occupational Safety Card training.

Upon successfully completing the exam, participants receive an electronic mobile card. Certification is valid for five years. A printed green plastic card can optionally be ordered from Työturvallisuuskeskus via korttitieto.fi.
Implementation of the Training
The SafetyUp® course is fundamental occupational safety training designed for all organizational personnel. The training can be conducted either as classroom instruction or instructor-led remote learning. In both methods, participants engage deeply with various aspects of occupational safety in small groups, guided by our expert trainers, and openly discuss the multiple dimensions of workplace safety in a positive atmosphere.
SafetyUp® meets the requirements of TTK’s Occupational Safety Card® training. Participants who successfully complete the training are eligible to obtain an official Occupational Safety Card (mobilecard).
As an additional service, the SafetyUp® training can be tailored to each organization's specific needs and work environment, thereby significantly reinforcing and advancing the company’s safety culture.
Training Objectives
The SafetyUp® course teaches basic occupational safety principles through experiential learning. The interactive format, including videos, engaging exercises, and stimulating discussions, actively involves participants, prompting them to reflect on their safety, the safety of colleagues, and workplace safety as a whole.
SafetyUp® represents a modern, people-centered approach to occupational safety training. Its goal is to ensure that every participant can immediately apply basic occupational safety principles in their work upon completion. However, please note that SafetyUp® does not replace mandatory workplace-specific orientation training required by law.
Upon completion of SafetyUp® training, participants will understand the fundamentals of occupational safety, recognize the roles and responsibilities within shared workplaces, identify workplace hazards and harmful stress factors, know the basics of occupational safety management, and comprehend their own role in promoting workplace safety.
SafetyUp® aims to foster participants’ personal interest and motivation in safety competence, thereby enhancing occupational safety through reduced workplace accidents, hazardous incidents, and harmful workloads.
Occupational Safety Card Examination
If the SafetyUp® course is conducted as Occupational Safety Card training, an official Occupational Safety Card exam is administered at the end of the course. The exam consists of randomly selected questions each time, including approximately 20 true/false questions and around 10 open-ended questions. To pass the exam, participants must score around 80% of the maximum points. The exam can be retaken twice. If participants do not pass after these attempts, they must retake the entire training.
